“Kindness”, a word with a huge meaning in itself.

A random act of kindness is exactly what it sounds like: doing something that is kind for someone else, especially something that they are not expecting. I was assigned a task by Amal Academy to do an Act of Kindness within 24 hours. I did my best to fulfill the task.

  1. I was in university, revising my syllabus before going to exam hall as there were still 40 minutes for the exam to be start. A girl passed by me and said, “Ohh, dont read this topic as this is not a part of the syllabus”. I said, “It is, Our teacher taught us and once in a lecture, He told us to mark that important too. So it is worthy to learn”. She then start requesting me to taught her that topic. I have to revise my own syllabus of 3 chapters which were left but I had completed the revision of that topic too. Instead of refusing her, I taught her. I explained that topic to her by being specific. She understood that topic and she thanked me & went to attempt the exam. In exam that topic came having 40 marks. After giving the exam, that girl appeared & started to thank me with so much gratitude. By my help, she was able to attempt that question.
  2. Once my housemaid’s daughter was ironing my clothes but I noticed that she was quite upset. I asked her, she said that she dont have enough money to buy books of 9th grade and her parents refused to help her in thus regard because of lack of money. I decided to help her and as I had not my own books but I decided to help her in any way and I demanded my pocketmoney from my father and brother in advance and gave tgat money to her to buy new books.

3. One day I just went to my cousin’s place where she invited her friends for a get together party. One of her friend was a very shy and reserve kind of girl and she used tk stammer whike speaking. I noticed at that party that my cousin with her friends didn’t talk to her usually may be because she was not fluent un speaking as a normal person is. I sat neat to her, and started talking to her. At first she was talking in a reserve manner but later she was improving and was’g that much stammering that she was in the start. I summoned my cousin and said her that see, if you’ll talk to her and make her feel that you are interested in her then she will improve herself just because of your attention. My cousin and her friends took lesson from that and started to talk to her as a normal friends of them.

4. I found a sick cat outside my house gate and she wasn’t even abke to move. I gave her luke warm milk and tried to keep her inside my home’s garrage under a roof and covered the sides with hardboard I had. On the very next morning, I found that cat healthy and she started to move too.

5. I started to do a fellowship at Amal academy and there our PM and PA assigned us a taak to collect and raise fund for Edhi foundation. I decided to do it and will try to raise it by any means. Allhamdullilah me with my other fellows succeeded in this great act of kindness.

So after my these few acts of kindness which I did in my past, I realized that it is actually our kind act that provide us the inner satisfaction, peace and happiness which we are unable to get in any other thing of the world. The act of kindness makes you realize that what you actually are and you can also give happiness to someone. May be by showing kindness to someone, you can also become a role model for them. It also makes your relationships stronger as I experienced and realized that it’s a fact that kindness makes your relations stronger than ever before no matter what relation do you have with that person, it just starts to be strong. We all should just start doing small act of kindness from now in our daily life basis and should see the magical results from that…
