My Amal Family at Shahi Qilla #Batch78 #OutdoorSession

Travelling is a way to explore new places, cultures and making new friends and this exactly happens with me on the last day of outdoor session. The session was imperishable because getting up early on Sunday is not exactly my cup of tea but I enjoyed every bit of it. The most enjoyable thing of this day was to have a full on heavy desi naashta and then visit to Baadshai masjid specially Sheesh Mahel and shahi qilla. I was very excited to visit baadshai masjid since I visited it 6 or 7 years ago. We had a breakfast at Libert market, Capri restaurant of Halwa poori with lassi and then we left out to Greater Iqbal Park from there. At greater iqbal park, we met with our tour guide and our guide Mr. Adnan was so cooperative with us throughout our tour and I enjoyed the stories and history of our Baadshai masjid he was telling to us. I learn more with the tour guide and after listening his myths about shahi Qila I would definitely guide my family, relative, cousins, friends and all the people to whom I know, about the history of this historic place.

How was the session? What did you enjoyed the most about this day?

It was the best session I ever had. I really enjoyed going over there and I loved it. I am happy that I got a chance ti visit these places with my friends otherwise I would may have had missed the most precious moments of my life. And this trip also made me realize that to whom I am important and for whom my presence also means. I enjoyed my visit to Summer Palace there as our tour guide told us that that place was also haunted and I enjoyed to enjoy every single moment of that place with fellows by having fun. I also enjoyed my naashta session as our speaking theme on that day was only PUNJABI as we all were talking in Punjabi on our breakfast table and had so sooooo much fun. NOSTALGIA! :’)

What was it like to be a tour guide through these experiences? Do you think you learned more being a tour guide or being someone who was guided?

It was a good experience being guided. I have to learn that others decisions are also important. It’s not only you who has to be listened. Sometimes you have to be active to what others tells you. So yeah, I practiced this during that and it was good experience for me to be guided. And most importantly the best of guide was at Summer Palace, we came to know so many things.

What were the lessons that you think you learned from the things/places we explored?

I learnt that its important to have a fun time along with the work load and problems you are facing in your daily life. It keeps your mind fresh and relaxed. By doing continuous work, without exploring outside, will exhaust your mind to a point where you can’t even get that why 2+2 is 4. So for keeping your mind function properly you have to ignore your problems for a while and you should took out some little time for your self and do what makes you relax and happy. And then you can get back to your routine with the fresh mind. Another most important lesson i have learned from this outdoor session was the principal of ek or ek 11 hai that I have learnt throughout this whole fellowship in Amal and it was actually implemented in that outdoor session and this statement completely worth its meaning. This is one of the most important lessons that I have learnt because there, I was ordered and guided to be with fellows and to be in a group so because of that, we dis so much fun and even we traveled so much by walking but with fellows, it was so easy for us and we also faced tiny issue of being late, to wait for some other fellow but as a group we cooperated and did all the tasks easily and happily. When I was going upstairs on the huge step stairs of Shai Qilla, which were usually made for the elephants at that time, I slipped more than 2 or 3 times and there were Ma’am Aalia, Adnan, Tahir, Amir, Farkhanda and Shahwaar who were with me and this also createed a bond of trust. Also I learned that making others laugh makes you happy and relaxed. I tried to make everyone feel entertaining and relaxed. We were doing everything in team and being united is really great feeling. Laughing together is so pleasant to feel. Those were the most precious moments of my life. INDEEED!

What do you think this session has to do with maintaining work/life balance? How do you think you will continue to maintain this balance in your life?

I think that there should always be a time for our own self along with our work, stress, problems, we should must also look after ourselves. I think this session gave us the moral lesson that we should do our work properly, efficiently but we should also took out some of our time to enjoy our life, to do that thing which makes us fresh, to take a fresh air by outing. We should take out some time with those people with whom we feel comfortable, fresh and relaxed. Give some quality too your own self too because it is your life and only you are responsible for it and you are its real owner. So you have a right to live it freely by making it easy and happy. :)

Had so much FUN :D

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT

Never ever think that sparing some time for yourself will be a waste of time. It refreshes your mind and then you work even more productively. Try it, give it a chance. Specially when you feel that you can’t work anymore and you are done with your life, take a break and go out. Try to be coordinated for this with the precious people you love to spend time with, it helps.

And in the end, I would like to thanks Amal Academy for giving me this opportunity to know the exact meaning of life through this fellowship and for giving me a chance to LIVE MY LIFE BY MY OWN WAY! :D

HAHA! Dua by everyone for someone at outside masjid! ;)
